The public history is fragmented because IranProud is a community-driven project, not a venture-backed startup with press releases. The domain itself dates to 2005, early in the Web 2.0 era when Iranian satellite TV sites like Tapesh, ParsTV, and IranProud began aggregating content for diaspora families with dishes on their roofs.
